Children Helping Children For five years in a row, in cooperation with German Government, ADRA distributes New Year's parcels for children in Serbia and Montenegro. This year, 7,500 parcels have been delivered – 2,500 of them for children in Kosovo and Metohia. Basic idea of this project, besides delivering parcel, is to teach children to share. First of all, children in Germany learn to share by setting aside part of their pocket money for parcels to be sent to children of the same age in Eastern Europe. ADRA distributes parcels from children, which are the donors to the children who are receivers. Mostly, those are children, which, because of their illnesses, live in boarding schools, than socially endangered and orphan children. This year, RTS – national TV station and ADRA act together in finding those little ones to which it is more difficult do reach. Viewers alone take and distribute parcels to the children they know which are from above mentioned categories. On this occasion, we would like to thank to the people of Germany and to all the children in Germany as well in our country, for taking part in this project and made many children happy. This year, ADRA has distributed total number of 50.000 parcels, which are collected by children in Germany.  |
