Flood In Jasa Tomic village, in Secanj municipality, on April 21st and 22nd, about 150 houses were destroyed by the rush of the river Tamis. Water started pouring rapidly into the village after it had broken the embankment on Romanian side as well as around Jasa Tomic village. Humanitarian organization ADRA also gives its contribution providing aid to flood victims in Secanj municipality. This action started on April 25th by delivering a lorry of food and clothes and today is successfully continued in Jasa Tomic village. It is agreed in close cooperation with the crisis centre that ADRA will supply all inhabitants of the flooded Jasa Tomic village with bread. A local bakery will make bread for its 3000 inhabitants from flour which will gradually be delivered. Today on April 27th, the first consignment of 6,5 tons of flour is sent. It is the second successive help for the village of Jasa Tomic. In regard to a daily necessities of flour for the production of bread in this village, which comes to 1 ton, ADRA will deliver all 45 tons of flour in the next 45 days. Besides, aid in ready-cooked and canned food is planned for next week and is the most needed at the moment according to the representatives of the crisis centre.
